Officer of Logistics, Position 1
Daawa, Liban, Afdheer, Doolo, and Korahe are the locations.

Position Description
To perform transparent and efficient logistic management for ACTED programmes in the Somali Region, including all aspects of inventory, communications, asset management, transportation, and so on. The Logistics Officer will be directly responsible to the Senior Logistics Officer. He or she will have direct hierarchical and functional supervisory authority over the Logistics Assistant and other personnel in her or his Department.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in purchasing and supply management or the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS, UK) or a higher national diploma in store management, logistics management, or an equivalent.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement and logistics management in non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
- Exceptional integrity, commitment, and professional responsibility
- Outstanding communication, organisational, and presentation abilities.
- Computer literate and well-versed in information technology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels,
- Ability to work effectively under duress
- Ability to work in a changing security environment
- Capability to work independently and creatively with regard to land and capital
- Knowledge of the local language and/or regional experience is advantageous.
- Fluent in Somali and English (oral and written).

2nd Position: MEAL Officer
Dollo Ado and Wardher are the locations.
2 (two) is the required number.
Position Description:
The MEAL Officer, reporting to the Area Coordinator, is responsible for assisting in the effective implementation of all appraisal, monitoring, and evaluation work for ACTED at the field level.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in development studies, economics, rural development, agricultural economics, statistics, or a closely related field of study is required.
- Proficient knowledge of MEAL, including the ability to work effectively under time constraints, high quality standards, and demanding, potentially overlapping priorities.
- Experience conducting monitoring and evaluation for humanitarian and development initiatives/interventions using social research methods.
- Analytical skills are required to interpret qualitative and quantitative data and make useful recommendations for programme implementation and development.
- Statistical analysis and IT skills, including data collection using SPSS, Excel, and Kob collect.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both oral and written).
- Strong team player with high integrity and a pleasant personality, with the ability to work with little supervision and meet strict deadlines.
- Exceptional integrity, transparency, and honesty.
- Knowledge of the local language and/or regional experience is advantageous.

3rd Position: MEAL Assistant

Position Description
The Appraisal, Monitoring, and Evaluation Assistant assists the MEAL Officer in the development and implementation of appropriate and viable appraisal, monitoring, and evaluation systems in accordance with ACTED’s global MEAL procedures.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Rural Development, Agricultural Economics, Statistics, or a closely related social science field of study.
- Proficient knowledge of MEAL, including the ability to work effectively under time constraints, high quality standards, and demanding, potentially overlapping priorities.
- Experience conducting monitoring and evaluation for humanitarian and development initiatives/interventions using social research methods.
- Analytical skills are required to interpret qualitative and quantitative data and make useful recommendations for programme implementation and development.
- Statistical analysis and IT skills, including data collection using SPSS, Excel, and Kob collect.
- At least two years of work experience in a related field is required; previous experience with humanitarian organisations is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both oral and written).
- Strong team player with high integrity and a pleasant personality, with the ability to work with little supervision and meet strict deadlines.
- Somali language proficiency is required.
- Exceptional integrity, transparency, and honesty.
- Knowledge of the surrounding environment will be advantageous.
