Job Title: Cash Management Officer

 

Qualifications and Experience Required

BA in Accounting and Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline is required.

Experience: Three years of relevant banking experience, one of which was as a Junior Cash Management Officer.

Job Purpose: To ensure the ongoing availability and optimum utilization of the bank’s cash by arranging for timely cash supply and collection to/from branches and ATMs.

Maintain daily cash situation by using and analyzing cash collections and disbursements.

Help with the periodic revision of cash-holding restrictions for all branches and ATMs.

Prepare reports on foreign cash note purchases and sales, as well as prompt refilling of correspondent bank accounts;

Create transactions and countersign tickets/vouchers.

Receive and distribute cash from/to Cash Dispatchers and arrange cash consignment operations with Cash Dispatchers.

Balance and reconcile the cash book with the general ledger and physical cash;

Cash may be replenished through Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs). Maintain dual custody of the bank’s cash equivalent papers and cashiers’/tellers’ signatures/initials.

Deposit and withdraw funds from the National Bank of Ethiopia’s Issue Account to refill the vault.

Handle any extra relevant tasks that may arise;

Job 2 – Customer Service Executive – II

 

Qualifications and Experience Required

BA in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or a related discipline is required.

Experience: 1 year of banking operations experience as a CSO, CSR, CSE, or comparable job.

Job Purpose: To improve customer satisfaction by conducting front-line customer service operations with care and efficiency; to raise the Branch’s resource mobilization effort by cross-selling the Bank’s goods and services.

Specific Purposes

Engage in and carry out client recruiting and account opening tasks

Administer the Primary Vault in collaboration with the Branch Operations Manager/Branch Manager.

Receive, verify, deposit, and withdraw currency from and from the Primary and Secondary Vaults;

Receive or send a cash consignment from/to the Treasury;

Check that the daily cash receipts and cash bricks are complete, wrapped, and initiated.

Get customer autographs, and photos, and verify customers.

Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Grade – I Position 3 – Branch Manager

 

Qualifications and Experience Required

BA in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or a related discipline is required.

Experience: 7 years of applicable banking experience, including 1 year as an Assistant Branch Manager/CSM or Relationship Manager, or 7 years of relevant banking experience, including at least 2 years as a Senior Officer in a banking operations role.

Purpose of the Job: To achieve the bank’s long-term growth and profitability by cross-selling its products and services; acquiring and retaining customers, improving customer service, developing strong customer relationships to maximize resource mobilization efforts, and managing overall retail banking operations at the assigned branch.

Specific Purposes

Planned and led the branch’s resource mobilization effort by organizing and successfully coordinating the branch employees.

Engage in aggressive marketing and promotional initiatives by interacting with clients about the bank’s goods and services; summarise branch accounts and apply tight follow-up on controllable costs;

Ensure that transactions are instantly authorized and that end-of-business-cycle operations are completed on schedule.
